PEOPLE LINE UP TO PAY RESPECTS TO FORD
(2007-01-03)
(wgvu) - A farmer from Wayland says he brought
his son to view Gerald Ford's casket as a way to pay respects to
his adopted nation.
Mati Karni arrived at Ford's repose in Grand Rapids at 4:30 this
morning with his young son, Ben.
Karni arrived in the U-S from Israel in 1981.
Karni home-schools his six children with his wife. He also
thought it was a good opportunity for his son to witness history
firsthand. He snapped a photo of Ben standing in front of a sign
bearing the presidential seal.
