A top federal expert on biomass is paying a visit to Northwest Florida.
Sam Tagore is the U.S. Department of Energy's main man when it comes to woody biomass. Cottondale in Northwest Florida is the home of the world's largest woody biomass plant. The two get together Thursday when Tagore sits in on a renewable energy council meeting put on by Florida's Great Northwest organization. The group's president Al Wenstrand says that will give the area a chance to blow its own horn and get advice from Tagore on what more can be done locally in the area of renewable energy.
