Foosaner Art Museum Presents - Intellectual Property Seminar
Patent Attorney Kelly G. Swartz, of Ingenuity Law, will offer a free seminar to artists outlining tips and ways to protect one's intellectual property rights.
The seminar will focus on issues commonly faced by members of the artistic community as they relate to intellectual property. Copyright protection and its limitations, work-for-hire contracts, general ownership of IP, trademarks, and patents (with an emphasis on design patents) will be addressed. After a brief discussion, the group will discuss hypothetical scenarios in which these concepts are illustrated.
