The headliner at this year’s annual Space Coast Jazz Society Benefit is trumpet player Winston Scott, who has achieved great heights as a musician, an astronaut and a university administrator. The benefit is from 2 to 5 p.m on Sunday, March 10 at the Cocoa Beach Courtyard by Marriott. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for high school and college students. All proceeds go to the Space Coast Jazz Society Scholarship Fund and are tax deductible.
At the upcoming benefit Scott will be leading his own jazz quintet, which includes himself on trumpet, Ron Teixeira on piano, Ron Pirtle on bass, Chuck Dickey on drums and Shyrl (Tandy) Johnson on vocals.
