On Friday morning October 18 at 10:00 a.m., Smart Start of Forsyth County will host a community conversation for child care providers and early learning advocates to help address any questions about our choices in the near future and to share strategies for supporting children, families, and employers with a strong, viable child care service system in our community. The partial federal shutdown has created several challenges with implications for all of us to provide funding for lower income, working families to provide child care for their children, so that parents can work, attend training, or gain additional education..
Representatives from Forsyth County Department of Social Services and Smart Start of Forsyth County, Inc., will be on hand with up-to-the-minute information. You and your colleagues will be there to share concerns, hopes, tips, and best practices for strengthening our industry and securing our children’s futures.
Please contact Jackie Lofton at JackieL@SmartStart-FC.org or at 714.4349 to help us prepare sufficient materials and refreshments.
