Grammy Award winner John McLaughlin Williams is a musician of many talents. An active violin soloist and chamber musician, Mr. Williams began violin studies at age ten in a Washington, D.C. public school. At age 14 he appeared as a soloist with the National Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Williams went on to solo with many other orchestras, including the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, South Carolina Philharmonic, Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, and the Portland Symphony. Mr. Williams, a graduate of Grimsley High School, will participate in a weeklong educational residency prior to his performance, reaching over 1,000 Guilford County students.
