The New Winston Museum announces a new bi-monthly lecture program called the Salon Series. The Salon Series will feature a broad range of local historians, architects, artists, writers, musicians, crafts-folk and other specialists. Speakers will discuss aspects of their work and their process to find interpersonal connections with their work to the broader community.
This next Salon Series event will feature Architect David Gall and Winston-Salem community activist Maurice Pitts Johnson. They will discuss their efforts to restore Winston-Salem's historic Happy Hill Cemetery and subsequent discovery of parts of the terra cotta facade of the 1892 Old Town Hall.
