Mary Cowhey may be the kind of teacher students remember years after being in her second grade classroom. She's a passionate teacher, and there are many like her. But as schools are challenged to keep up with the increasing number of state and federal requirements for learning, it's a challenge for teachers to be as creative as they'd like to be.
