Private Colleges and their Valuable Art Collections
(2009-01-29)
(wfcr) - Supporters of the Rose Art Museum at Brandeis University are rallying to its defense. The Waltham, MA, school announced this week that it would sell the museum's collection to deal with the school's strained finances caused by the poor economy. Elizabeth Barker, Director and Chief Curator of the Mead Art Museum at Amherst College says it would be an enormous loss to the school community if Brandeis sells off its world class collection. © Copyright 2013, wfcr
