UMASS Amherst Chancellor Undaunted by Economy
(2008-11-25)
(wfcr) - At this point of the year, Robert Holub has been chancellor of UMASS Amherst for almost an entire semester. It was mid-summer when he agreed to to come to Amherst. The economy has changed quite a lot since then. Governor Patrick has cut the state appropriation to the campus by five percent -- and officials say another eight percent cut is likely in next year's budget. Chancellor Holub told WFCR's Bob Paquette, the economy may be slow, but it won't stop his vision for the university.
