Anthrax researcher committs suicide
MARYLAND

Federal prosecutors had planned to indict a leading anthrax researcher for his alleged role in the 2001 anthrax attacks that killed five people, including one Connecticut woman. But this week Bruce Ivins, a scientist from Fort Detrich committed suicide. According to the associated press the government had planned to not only indict Ivins, but to seek the death penalty. From WNPR in Hartford, Nancy Cohen reports.
