Development Progresses in Springfield, MA
State Street Corridor Project
(wfcr) - Congressman Richard Neal met with local leaders in Springfield, Massachusetts Monday to update them on various economic development projects in the city. Among them the new $70 million federal courthouse, which Neal says is about 85% completed. The State Street corridor project is almost ready to go. Neal says the project involves a major reconstruction of the street which runs through the heart of the city and is home to the new courthouse, a public library, two public high schools, two colleges, Mass-Mutual and many religious institutions.

Contractors are expected make bids on the street reconstruction next month. That 2 year project is expected to begin in April.
