Vietnam War Opponent Tom Hayden Discusses Activism Today
(2007-11-01)
(wfcr) - Tom Hayden, one of the leading student activists of the 1960's was a founding member of students for a democratic society and spoke recently at UMass. A self-described radical, Hayden became famous for helping to mobilize opposition to the Vietnam war, writing a manifesto for fellow college radicals, marrying actress Jane Fonda and serving in the California state Senate. Hayden, who spoke to WFCR's Kari Njiiri, says he hasn't noticed as much student activism on campus these days compared to the 1960's, but he says it's an unfair comparison. © Copyright 2017, wfcr
