Health Officials caution on mosquitos
(2007-05-23)
(wfcr) - Earlier this month (May 12), a 21-year-old student at Westfield State College died suddenly of encephalitis, which is a swelling of the brain. Massachusetts pulbic health officials determined that the student's illness - while still under investigation - was not the result of a mosquito-born disease, because they believe it's too early in the season for infected mosquitoes to come out. However, public health officials say it's not too early to start protecting yourself. WFCR's Karen Brown reports. © Copyright 2017, wfcr
