Lost and Found
(2007-04-25)
(wfcr) - In her new novel "Lost and Found", Northampton writer Jacqueline Sheehan's main character, Rocky Pellegrino, loses her husband, Bob. He dies of a heart attack. Overcome with grief, Rocky does manage to follow what she believes was his final wish, to have his ashes dropped in the deep fryer at his favorite seafood restaurant, as Sheehan reads in this scene.

Rocky -- like the author, Jacqueline Sheehan -- is a psychologist. That's about where the similarities stop. Rocky is unable to deal with the grief she's feeling. Sheehan told WFCR's Bob Paquette, her main character takes a leave of absence from her job and creates a new identity.

Jacqueline Sheehan will be reading at Food for Thought Books in Amherst on Thursday April 26, 2007.
