Beekman's Translation Leads to Breakthroughs 2/28/07 (wfcr) - A research team at the Mayo Clinic recently announced they'd isolated medical compounds from a tropical tree -- which could lead to the development of new antibiotics. The scientists were using a 17th century book, newly translated by E.M. "Monty" Beekman of Northampton.
