Census and Counting Prison Populations
(wfcr) - The national head count will be underway soon. Every ten years, the US Census Bureau tries to determine how many people there are in this country, and where they live. For prison inmates, the census bureau counts their prison cell as their "home" -- not the town they came from before they were sentenced. Peter Wagner of the Northampton-Massachusetts based Prison Policy Initiative says this is a problem. He spoke with WFCR's Bob Paquette. © Copyright 2020, wfcr
