Summer Fiction - Elinor Lipman
(2010-05-28)
(wfcr) - Elinor Lipman is one of the Pioneer Valley's best-selling authors. She has written nine comic novels, including Then She Found Me, which was made into a movie with Helen Hunt. Her other popular books include The Inn at Lake Devine, Isabel's Bed, and The Way Men Act, which was set in her hometown of Northampton. Her most recent novel - The Family Man - features a divorced gay man who reconnects with a step-daughter he left years earlier. Just out in paperback, The Family Man recently made the Boston Globe's bestseller list. In this re-broadcast, Lipman speaks with WFCR's Karen Brown - and starts by reading from the book's first chapter. © Copyright 2012, wfcr
