This summer marks the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, the iconic 1960's music festival. But it's what came after Woodstock that interests Steve Waksman. He's a professor of Music and American Studies at Smith College and the author of a new book about the crossed roots of two musical genres that evolved post-Woodstock: heavy metal and punk. It's called "This Ain't the Summer of Love." Waksman told WFCR's Tina Antolini the charged relationship between metal and punk was partially the product of the moment in which they were born. null
