Dewey Beach elects 2 new commissioners DEWEY BEACH, DE (wesm) - (AP) Dewey Beach voters have elected two new commissioners to the town council. Candidates Marc Appelbaum and Martin Seitz won the empty seats in Saturday's election.

Former commissioners Claire Walsh and Dale Cooke decided not to run for re-election.

The town's voters also approved a three percent accommodations tax. Tenants renting or leasing residential property in Dewey would be required to pay the tax.

Residents also approved a charter amendment, limiting the height of any building in Dewey Beach to 35 feet. © Copyright 2009, wesm
