Milford woman charged in ID theft case
(2008-09-18)
(wesm) - Milford police say they have arrested a Milford woman who allegedly used a false ID to get a job and benefits for more than a year.

Twenty-eight-year-old Lidia Chaves is charged with identity theft and 17 counts of second-degree felony forgery. Police say she used the false ID from May 2007 until her arrest.

Police say she had purchased the identity, including a fake photo identification card and Social Security card, of a 30-year-old person from another state.
