Minner appoints Scuse as new chief of staff
She has chosen Agriculture Secretary Michael Scuse to take over from Mark Brainard, who leaves Friday to become the assistant campus director for Delaware Technical & Community College's Wilmington and Stanton campuses.
Before becoming Agriculture Secretary, Scuse served as Kent County Recorder of Deeds and was state committee chair of the Farm Service Agency.
Miner will appoint State Forester Austin Short as Acting Secretary of Agriculture.

With just four months remaining before she leaves office, Gov. Ruth Ann Minner has named a new chief of staff.She has chosen Agriculture Secretary Michael Scuse to take over from Mark Brainard, who leaves Friday to become the assistant campus director for Delaware Technical & Community College's Wilmington and Stanton campuses.
Before becoming Agriculture Secretary, Scuse served as Kent County Recorder of Deeds and was state committee chair of the Farm Service Agency.
