State launches motorcycle safety campaign
Spokeswoman Andrea Summer says 10 of the fatal crashes have involved faster, smaller sport bikes and many involved younger riders. Summers says that speeding, alcohol or lack of training were factors in many of the accidents.
The office has launched a ''Ride Safe-Ride Smart'' safety campaign to educate motorcyclists about safe operation of their machines.
