Del. gasoline prices down a penny per gallon
(2008-09-09)
>
(wesm) - Prices for gasoline in Delaware are a penny lower per gallon than they were a week ago.

AAA Mid-Atlantic says the average price per gallon is $3.45.

Officials say the outlook for prices remains optimistic. Hurricane Gustav did not cause any major damage to oil production when it passed through the Gulf of Mexico last week, and refineries that lost power were expected to be back in operation over the weekend.

Oil prices fell about $9 bucks to 106 dollars a barrel last week. AAA is now watching Hurricane Ike, as well as Tuesday's OPEC meeting, to see where prices may go in the weeks ahead.
