Inmate commits suicide in Dover prison DOVER, DEL. (AP) (wesm) - Delaware Department of Correction officials say an inmate at the Morris Community Corrections Center apparently hanged himself in his housing unit.

Officials say 53-year-old Mitchell Mayhew of Dover was found unresponsive around 9:50 a.m. Wednesday.

Mayhew was serving a one-year sentence for violation of probation that started in March. His original conviction was for driving under the influence.

Mayhew's body was turned over to the State Medical Examiner's Office. Officials say foul play is not suspected, but state police and correction officials are investigating his death.
