Former Md. lawmaker to admit federal porn charge HAGERSTOWN, MD. (AP) (wesm) - The lawyer for a western Maryland state delegate who resigned in disgrace says Robert McKee will plead guilty to a federal charge of possessing child pornography.

The announcement comes on the heels of the Justice Department's announcement of the charge against the former Republican lawmaker from Washington County.

Attorney Timothy Maloney says McKee accepts responsibility for his actions. He says that since he resigned from the legislature in February, the 59-year-old McKee has focused on getting well and staying well.

U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein says the single count carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. No court date has been scheduled.

McKee resigned February 15, about two weeks after Washington County sheriff's deputies raided his home in Halfway, an unincorporated community near Hagerstown.
