Cardin: Fine tuning bay program not enough
Cardin, chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee's Water and Wildlife subcommittee, held a hearing in Annapolis on Monday to receive a status report on the bay's health and recommendations on the program's reauthorization.
Cardin says fine tuning the program won't be enough to control pollution, restore water quality and see the bay's living resources return in abundance. Cardin says without the EPA's Chesapeake Bay Program, the bay would be in worse shape, but more aggressive action is needed.
