9:00AM - 12:30PM In our Friday fashion, we featured artists and groups you can enjoy this weekend. Tonight is WEMU's free "Sesi Motors 501 Jazz Show". Guitarist Jake Reichbart has loads of special songs planned. He'll lead a fantastic quartet: Charles Green on keys, Ralphe Armstrong, bass and Rob Avsharian on drums. Rush Street is the place for this free music we present in the honor of Dr. Jan Winkelman. If you go to "501", you would still have time to catch two great shows in the evening: Jack DeJohnette in Detroit at Orchestra Hall or Angelique Kidjo in Hill Auditorium. To go with Jake Reichbart's music we played some fellow excellent guitarists: Kevin Eubanks, Nate Najar, Wes Montgomery and more. Birthday celebrations were for saxophonist Joshua Redman and pianist Joe Sample. Thanks lots for listening. We hope the music went well with a snowy morning.
