State Auditor Crit Luallen Releases Audit of Lexington-Bluegrass Airport
(2009-02-25)
(WEKU) - The Executive Director of the Lexington-Bluegrass Airport authorized over $500,000 in questionable spending that Auditor Crit Luallen says resulted in a "culture of wasteful spending". This morning, the Auditor's Office released the findings of a nearly three year investigation into the airport administrator's spending practices. Luallen says nearly $250,000 had inadequate documentation or no business purpose; another $250,000 had no documentation at all. WEKU's Stu Johnson files this statement from State Auditor Crit Luallen:

*The auditor's report will be presented to the Lexington-Bluegrass Airport Board of Directors and the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Council.
