Jackson Performing Arts Center Gets Match
(2005-04-04)
(wpr) - It took nine months, but Jackson's new center for the arts has raised the necessary matching money to access 14 million dollars for capital projects. Director Mark Berry says the final donations came in a few minutes before last Friday's deadline. He says the facility is more then a decade in coming and people are excited about moving forward. "We are ready in Jackson Hole about this project. It is the right project at the right time. Some of the people involved in our team are getting up there in age and I have heard them speak very strongly about the fact that if we don't get this done now, we are never going to get this done."
A performing arts pavilion is just one of the facilities at the new center they hope to break ground on in coming months.
