Senator Boswell Runs for Office Again
State Senator David Boswell says he will run for a sixth term next year. He says some changes are occurring in the Kentucky senate that favor his party.
The Owensboro democrat was considering a re-match against Republican Brett Guthrie who won Kentucky's second district congressional seat last fall. Boswell tells the messenger-inquirer that "conditions in Washington are not right."
Boswell also contemplated a run for Daviess County Judge-Executive. Having served in state government in a number of capacities for more than 30 years, David Boswell says he feels he can be of most service in the senate.
Boswell says he is excited about some of the changes in that chamber, pointing to the recent election of Democrat Robin Webb. He's hoping the Republican-led senate can gain another Democrat in a special election next month.
