EKU Takes on West Virginia Wesleyan
On Saturday night, the Eastern Kentucky University basketball Colonels go for an even dozen consecutive home opener victories when they take the court in McBrayer Arena.
Eastern takes on West Virginia Wesleyan, a division two school from the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic conference. The Colonels were 18 and 13 last year while West Virginia Wesleyan was ten and eighteen. EKU Head Coach Jeff Neubauer says his team can put five guards on the court if needed.
"We really are gonna spread the court like we always do. You know, last year's team set not only EKU records as three point shooters but also OVC records. So we do have great shooters in the program. We're gonna take advantage of that," Neubauer said.
Tip off for the Colonel-Bobcat contest is scheduled for eight o clock Saturday night.
