This weekend Lexington's Heritage Hall will be alive with the sights and sounds of groups and individuals encouraging citizens to pursue a greener lifestyle. The annual Bluegrass Green Expo rolls into town this Saturday and Sunday.
Coordinator Ben Perry says the family friendly event has been designed for all levels of interest and participation.
"We basically want to be able to provide something for everybody, from the people that are brand new to it as we say in some of our materials. If it's a Hummer driver looking to possibly purchase their first CFL, we want them to be able to come and find what they need. We also want somebody who's an old eco-warrior that's given up their automobile altogether and looking to go to whatever the next step is for them," Perry said.
The event is free and open to the public and includes a trade show, workshops, energy exhibits and tours, plus cooking demonstrations and a kid's expo.
