It's a little early in the football season to talk about a key conference matchup, but that's exactly what faces the Eastern Kentucky University Colonels Saturday.
Both EKU and Eastern Illinois are 2-0 in the Ohio Valley Conference as they enter the game in Charleston.
Both teams have traditionally been in the hunt for the OVC title. The Colonels have won the league the last two years and beaten the Panthers the previous two seasons. The most recent poll finds Eastern ranked 18th, EIU.
