Equestrian Games Draw Artistic Talent
A great deal of artistic talent will be highlighted during next year's World Equestrian Games. A commemorative print, designed to focus attention on the "Spotlight Lexington" festival, was unveiled Thursday.
Lexarts CEO Jim Clarke says the three-week event will run concurrently with the 2010 games.
"The thing that might change is the marketing effort that lets people know what's going on. But certainly there is going to be several special events. But I think most of that's going to be concentrated during the three weeks of the games," Clarke said.
Central Kentucky artist Philip High designed the commemorative print. High said he tried to combine the setting and the activities of the festival with the energy and freedom of the equine spirit.
