FAA Demands Changes at Ashland-Boyd Airport
The Federal Aviation Administration is putting up more than $47,000 to conduct environmental analysis at the Ashland-Boyd County airport. Airport board member David Mansfield says they must relocate a taxiway within the next five years.
Otherwise, Mansfield says they'll violate new federal guidelines.
Mansfield says the airport has purchased some adjoining properties for the project. He says relocating the taxiway should improve airport safety.
