Robert Kennedy Jr. Speaks at UK
Noted environmentalist Robert Kennedy Jr. will be speaking this evening at 8:00 pm in Memorial Coliseum.
The speech is a part of the Sustainability Lecture Series and will kick off the 'Big Blue Goes Green' UK event on sustainable living. The recently-created Student Sustainability Council worked with the Student Activities Board to co-sponsor the event.
Corey Ballard, the President of SAB, believed the group partnership was a good one.
"It's definitely a proud partnership. Bring someone that's going to challenge students. Definitely wanted to work together. Obviously both groups wanted to bring."
Kennedy's speech is called "Our Environmental Destiny." He will do a book signing afterward and general admission tickets are on sale for $10. Ballard is hoping for a full house in the 3,000 seat coliseum.
