Robertson Courthouse Project Delayed
(2009-06-23)
(WEKU) - Robertson Judge-Executive Billy Allison says work on a 3.8 million dollar project to refurbish the county's old courthouse and put an addition on it remains on hold.

The project is being paid for by the state Administrative Office of the Courts, and Allison hopes the county will get some help from that agency with a problem that cropped-up recently in the old section of the building.

Allison says workers recently discovered the flooring in the old part of the Robertson courthouse had been severely damaged by water and termites. He expects to hear this week from the AOC and how to proceed. Allison estimates that Robertson's new judicial center project is 95% complete and should be finished by September.
