Central and Eastern Kentucky
Forum Held for 2010 Equestrian Games
"It may be difficult for some to appreciate the enormity and scope of events to occur when visitors from around the globe descend upon central Kentucky for the world equestrian games next year," says Jamie Link, CEO of the World Games 2010 Foundation. He says the event is much more than just an estimated 600-thousand visitors to the region.
Lexington Mayor Jim newberry says transportation and security issues for the games are still being ironed out. However, Newberry says those expecting gridlock during the event should put matters in context with other events held in Lexington.
Plans are in place to hold several more community forums to address questions and concerns between now and the beginning of the games next fall. © Copyright 2010, WEKU
