Ashland's mayor and former police chief is happy to see construction underway on the city's new police station. Tom Kelley says the steel frame of the four million dollar structure across from the municipal building is now taking shape.Kelley says the facility may be finished before the end of the year.
When it's completed, it'll be Ashland's first "stand alone" police station. Up until now, the police department has always been located within the city building.
