Even before children begin kindergarten, they can begin learning to read. That's according to a literacy expert from the University of Kentucky's Early Childhood Lab School. Jennifer Grisham Brown, faculty director at the school, said early reading practice is about more than reading."With real young children we're not doing drill and practice kind, but we're making note of those things as we read books to children or play games with children or we sing songs to children," Brown said.
