Over 25 seatbelt enforcement zones have been designated in the Upper Peninsula for the next 2 weeks. The "Buckle Up or Pay Up-Click it or ticket," campaign began Monday and entails federal funds, which are allowing police officers to make additional patrols in the designated areas. Seatbelt zones, which are chosen based on crash data, include Chippewa, Delta, Mackinac, Marquette, and Menominee, counties. Citizens are asked to keep in mind that the zones are subject to change.
