 Strictly Hip Hop Hosted By: Ahk, Florida & Miss J-Nice DJ: Boone, Miss jNYce & Mike Nyce Strictly Hip Hop is the longest running urban radio Hip Hop show in Baltimore, MD's history. Since its inception in 1990, the show has been the source for authentic Hip Hop music and cultural commentaries. It focuses on the true and pure unadulturated Hip Hop, hence the name Stirctly Hip Hop. Broadcasting on WEAA 88.9 FM's airwaves for over 19 years strong-Strictly Hip Hop has proven to be a veteran and industry leader. It is a precise mixture of Underground and Mainstream Hip Hop and has always been hosted and produced by Morgan State University students and alumni. Currently, there are three main goals for the entire show: to preserve the traditional sound of Hip Hop music (i.e. songs not limited to but may exhibit lyrical skill, storytelling, braggadocios bravado, sampling, heavy drums, emcee battle influence, and/or imaginative creativity); to provide an alternative sound in opposition to mainstream radio programming; and to provide up to date fresh perspectives on Hip Hop music-it's culture, and how it exists today. Producer/Coordinator: Jasmin (aka Florida) Test Bin Segment Producer: Jewel (aka Lyricist aka Drop-a-Jewel) DJs: DJ Ronny Don, DJ Mike Nyce. We also have at least one featured guest DJ at the beginning of each month. DJ 5starr has been designated to feature every first Friday of each month. In addition we also have a special monthly feature with the "One to Flow On" audio editorial produced by the long time contributor and the show's former host, Vegas |
