Alternative Energy Workshop Draws Big Response
Steve Cassin directs the county's planning and economic development department.
He says the event was so popular, they're planning another:
"One coming up in May that's going to be dealing with things as defense and aerospace, and that, hopefully in the future, we'll be talking about how our businesses can diversify into the medical industry," he says.
Cassin says manufacturers who make things like cylinders, pistons or generators for the automotive industry already have the expertise to make products for a new energy market.

Macomb County hosted the workshop to help businesses begin making products for wind, solar and new electric technologies.Steve Cassin directs the county's planning and economic development department.
