This course assumes that climate change is real and is caused in large part by human activities. Our generation is faced with a challenge that is historically without precedent: How to shift from the values and beliefs of the current unsustainable systems and transition to an ecologically sustainable culture that provides healthy food for all, an economy that distributes wealth equitably, and is driven by renewable energy sources. Each class will screen a film that explores in depth the issues that are at the core of the Transition movement. Supplementary materials available to read online are recommended for each film. A discussion will follow each film and local initiatives that address issues addressed will offer follow up actions to take.
The first week is FREE. Open to all. RSVP for the course to Chuck.Lynd@gmail.com or call 614-354-6172. Seats are limited. Deadline Wednesday, April 2.
