Theatre Talk: Friday, September 19, 2008
BUFFALO, NY
(WBFO) -
Curtain Up! takes place tonight with a big downtown party to celebrate the opening of Buffalo's 2008-2009 theater season. Tony may even wear his tuxedo for the festivities. Tonight, Steven Henderson performs excerpts from shows he's done, including Jitney, at the Studio Arena. We hear about the Alleyway's presentation of Rabbit Hole, a moving play about parental grief with performances by Joyce Stilson and Katie White. MusicalFare's Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story is a revue with a lot of Holly's music, the Road Less Travelled is presenting A Little Bit of Paradise in full production, a high melodrama based on Buffalo's East Side, and the Irish Classical Theatre Company is showing Noel Coward's Star Quality.
