BUFFALO, NY (WBFO) - 83 year old Gretchen Stringer was transported by wheelchair from the Beechwood nursing home in Amherst to downtown Buffalo to share her special stories with NPR's StoryCorps.

Stringer waited for her long-time friend, state Senator Mary Lou Rath, to join her in the StoryCorps trailer.
