Buffalo Rising co-founder Newell Nussbaumer was a bit under the weather and was unable to join us. But Managing Editor Elena Cala Buscarino was here. She invited Paul Hogan, vice president of the John R. Oishei Foundation. The foundation helped sponsor a group called GLUE -- the Great Lakes Urban Exchange -- which held a conference in Buffalo over the weekend. The conference brought in young leaders from struggling Great Lakes cities to discuss economic strategies for the future.
