Peace Activist Kathy Kelly Says Prison Was "Liberating"
BUFFALO, NY
(WBFO) -
She's one of nation's leading peace activists. Kathy Kelly was in Buffalo Saturday night to address the annual dinner of the Western New York Peace Center at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center downtown. Kelly is founder of the group Voices for Creative Non-Violence. She has spent some time in prison for her convictions, once for simply planting corn in the soil above a nuclear silo.
