Hill Family Tragedy Inspires Pro Love Tour

Two and a half months ago a fiery six-car crash on the Niagara Thruway brought tragedy to one of Buffalo's most beloved theatre families. Despite heroic efforts, seven year-old Asa Hill, the grandson of Ujima Theatre co-founder Lorna Hill, died from injuries he sustained in the accident. But the tragic loss inspired his family and the community to come together. On Friday, dozens of musicians, artists and poets will come together again for the first Pro Love Tour.

Fiddler on the Roof Opens in Buffalo with Seasoned Cast

The Broadway tour of Fiddler on the Roof opens Tuesday night in Buffalo at Sheas Performing Arts Center. The production was originally billed as the farewell tour of the show's long-time star, Chaim Topol. However, Topol will no longer be touring with the show because of a medical emergency. The actor has made the central character Tevye's name synonymous with his own. But his replacement in the Buffalo production has spent the last two decades sharing his own identity with Tevye.

Irish Classical Theatre Production Features Newcomer

The Irish Classical Theatre Company is presenting its production of "Soemone Who'll Watch Over Me" by Frank McGuiness. The show stars artistic director Vincent O'Neill along with regular Dan Walker and newcomer Lou Colaiacovo. WBFO's Kelli Bocock-Natale sat down in our studios to speak with Lou about the production and his first experience working with the critically acclaimed acting company.
